The preview for this book has me hooked! The main character really reminded me of Jane Eyre, in that she is an orphan, unloved and seemingly unappreciated. She sounds intelligent and dedicated to her work, and eager to prove herself in a male dominated society. The hint at the mystery also has me eager to read the rest of the book!
