The premise of this book is very interesting. Zoo animals need to be transported from London ahead of German bombs during WWII. An assistant museum curator, trying to save face after an embarrassing incident is asked to accompany them to safe keeping at Lockwood Manor.I am always excited to read anything WWII and adding animals to the mix makes this a book a must read for me! Also the cover really drew me in.
