I don't normally read Historical Fiction novels, but there's something about The Animals at Lockwood Manor that really caught my attention. And I'm glad it did!

There's a lot to love about The Animals at Lockwood Manor, even without being able to read the entire novel (yet). The cover is striking and works well with the title. The description helps to sell the interest, naturally.

But then there's that first look! I loved the way Jane Healey set up her introduction in this novel. Between the writing style and the tone (geo-gothic at it's finest) I honestly couldn't get about of it. And who can blame me there?
