I like the narrator, Hetty; she sounds like a tough female living in a man’s world and I found myself rooting for her within a couple of pages, especially when I read about her mom’s opinions about and treatment of her. The comparison to God, since they at the museum had to pick and choose what to save, is a powerful image. I wish there was more dialogue, but I still really enjoyed the excerpt and want to read more.
