I wish the excerpt was longer! I loved the beginning of this book. I'm extremely interested in the concept of the book and I think the author did a good job of setting up the start of the book for us. I felt like we really got to know Hetty right off the back and really like the brief glimpse into her childhood right off the back. It didn't feel forced, the whole chapter felt natural and informative and I cannot wait to see what is to come at Lockwood Manor!
