I really liked this thriller but was also really confused by it. There were some twists I thought had a grasp on connected to others I didn't understand the meaning behind. There were too many characters and family relationships to keep track of. There was also this random attack in the past heavily connected to murders happening in the present. This was my first Alex North book and I might try out another. This was told in different POV's, mostly through a sheriff's and Katie, the sister to the brother first attacked in the past. I liked Katie's POV the most she was a very strong women and mother. Her husband annoyed me when he wasn't listening to her. I would've liked to see her narrate the entire story. One aspect I did really like was the seeing the future but this seemed more to be writing in a magical book. So that wasn't how I expected but still made it unique.
