Willing to read on to learn about the "future-sight"

For such a simple design, the cover definitely drew my eye and, together with the summary, made me intrigued to read the story. However, the writing felt oddly clumsy, and there were moments when it sound more like the narrator was talking to the audience instead of telling the story -- but not in a way that set the tone or strengthened the voice -- which kept me from getting immersed. But I would still be interested in reading on just to see how the theme of "seeing the future" comes into play.
