So I don't read thrillers really, but this slots right in to what I think a thriller should be. Drama and violence right off the bat, with the prologue and first chapters setting the scene. Some of the tenses have me a little confused - present tense, some spooky narrator foreshadowing to the reader? - but I'm sure it just takes some getting used to.
