I love the mashup between crime thriller and horror. The hook at the end of the prologue packs a serious punch. It's gruesome and peaked my morbid curiosity to read more. It has a very intriguing and fresh twist on this genre, about a man who can supposedly see the future, and I really want to know the direction that this plot point is going to go. This is a great introduction to all our main characters here in the first few chapters. And this story seems like it will be the best of gritty, dark, crime thrillers. I love the title; it's perfect for a story about a serial killer, which is a really popular motif these days in the entertainment industries. I think this one is going to be a highly-anticipated release for many readers, and from the first look, I don't think it will disappoint. I can see myself and other readers leaving the lights on at night after this story. I feel like this story is going to leave an impression on readers and this is the perfect time of year for it too. This is a new to me author. I've had another of his books on my tbr list for a while and I think after reading this excerpt I may just have to go pick it up sooner rather than later. This book wasn’t previously on my radar until recently so I was happy to get the chance to read an excerpt. The cover is what caught my attention, with its striking simplicity.
