Detective novel with a paranormal flare

I like how the book is already fast paced even within the first couple of chapters. I'm honestly not a big fan of detective novels, but I enjoy how this one is already providing pieces to the puzzle bit by bit. Many characters have been introduced from the main character's family, to investigators, and another victim. Curious to see how the red car comes into play as a theme throughout the book.
