I loved Alex North's writing style. On another author it may have seemed like he's never heard of "show don't tell," but here it just feels like Alex North is above it all. He doesn't want to play games with you. He cuts straight to the point. I also really loved the premise and characters, who, while not overly original, felt truly real.
