Witty, well-written.
This is written in our heroine Corrie Geller's voice and I found her quite winning and likable. The descriptions and dialogues are very well written and evocative.
The tone is very quirky and ironic, so if you tend towards the snarky, you should enjoy that.
This gives a good sense of place with locations in New Jersey and Long Island, with various sorts of middling pretensions and contemporary culture and mores.
I like the fact that they visit Galveston, since it's a place that I know pretty well, and I can picture it and enjoy seeing the characters in that setting.
Houston, of course, is the pits.
I found the plot really engaging and interesting, and I expect I will be looking up more Susan Isaacs book and recommending her books to people.
