While this book was slow to get into it transitioned into a gripping mystery. Corie left the fbi when she married the man of her dreams and adopted his daughter. She tries to settle into a normal housewife life and her new career reading books in Arabic to see if they’d see in English. She doesn’t have a lot of connections in her new neighborhood but she does go to a weekly lunch with a group of people who work from home like she does. She starts to notice some strange things about one of her fellow stay at home business men, Pete. Her instincts tell her something is going on so she enlists her father, a retired police officer, to help her dig into Pete. But is there anything wrong with him? Or is she just craving the adventure life she left behind in the fbi?
