This story is about an ex FBI agent who has given up the excitement of her career for marriage and motherhood. Meeting each Wednesday with a group of freelancers for lunch, she finds herself wondering about one of the group, because her FBI training is telling her something is off.

The storyline moves right along, and the dialog is entertaining. Lots of underlying humor. Corie’s relationship with her adoptive daughter adds to the story, and her relationships with her husband, parents (expecially her dad) and her only close friend, Wynne, are fleshed out nicely. The whole book moves along well, but from chapter 22 on, it was pretty much un-putdownable.

So, the plot was well thought out, the writing was excellent, the characters were believable. 4.5 stars!
