My first of this book is "meh". It is not bad, just did not catch my attention enough. The writing style does not keep my interest. Too many long explanations in paragraphs, too many thoughts in italics, too much back story in the first few pages. If the author (and editor) had taken the time to sprinkle these details throughout the first few chapters, I might buy in a little more.
