The cover of Takes One to Know One leaves the reader knowing that this is going to be a murder mystery set in the suburbs. The first chapter was a great set-up for the rest of the story: ex-FBI agent leaves force to marry handsome, nice, rich guy with lovely daughter. Boredom and lack of a new circle of friends ensues. Enter one man that may be shady or maybe just boringly a little odd. FBI spidey senses tingle and our protagonist decides to investigate. What happens next? Does she use her wits and training against an actual bad guy or is this just the wandering mind of a bored housewife (sorry, literary scout)? Only Susan Issacs knows for sure!
