I don't like Corie. At all. She's dry at best, and has a scant and brutish view of the world. I didn't connect with her and automatically sympathized with anyone who came in contact with her. She acts as a repellant. Not really what I look for in a main character.
And I'm rather confused by this cover. I somewhat expected it to be a chick-lit or perhaps a beach-read. I certainly didn't expect it to center on a dry, self-centered fairly unlikable FBI agent turned publisher.
