We meet Corie who was on the Anti- Terrorism Force of the FBI. Corie resigned her job to marry Josh, a judge, who is a widower raising his young daughter, Eliza. His wife, Dawn, died suddenly when Eliza was Five. Corie gave up her job and worked from home finding Arabic fiction for three publishers. Trying to fit in to a suburban life, Corie has lunch once each week with other people who worked from home. One of these people is Pete.
