Right from the beginning, I knew this book wasn't for me. I already don't like the trope of starting a book with the character dreaming. And then after that, it went downhill. Why was she talking about her husband's late wife and her cause of death on the second page? I just didn't like the writing style, how so much backstory was being described as soon as the book started.
