I tend to cycle through fiction genres: romance, thrillers, a combination of the two, historical, etc., and at one time I was pretty big into mysteries. I loved trying to figure out the puzzle (spoiler alert: I never did), and reaching the end, only to go back and try to find the clues I missed. But, for some reason or another, I haven't read much in the way of mysteries recently. "Takes One to Know One" might be the book to change that. From its intriguing cover (it kind of reminds me of R.L. Stine for grown ups), to the fact that I chuckled a few times reading the excerpt, I suspect that Corie Gellar is a heroine worth rooting for. It's hard to tell where this story will go, but from the summary it's pretty clear that Corie's FBI skills never really left her. Is Pete who he says he is? I guess I'll have to read to find out!
