This novel is about an ex-FBI agent who can't turn off her bad guy radar. She gave up her career as an FBI agent to become a wife and a step-mother. She is a little bored and saw an article in the local paper about a self employed group of people meeting for lunch once a week. She translated Arabic books as a home job. She joined the group but wasn't enjoying it. She had hoped to find a friend in the group. There was a man named Pete in the group who seemed suspicious to her. She then started checking him out. That's where it leaves you. Where does she go from here? Does she contact a friend at the FBI? I would like to know those answers. I guess that means I need to read the book.
