The little teaser we got seemed made this novel more like a mystery than a thriller, per se, but I'm not mad about it. So many "thrillers" these days are gory or psychological torturous, more horror than thriller. I digress...
I like Corie as a protagonist quite a lot! She's smart and engaging, though I'm not sure what plot value the gilded world she stumbled into will have. I imagine her husband's resources will let her get all of her special agent gear?
