An interesting premise for a novel in which the main protagonist Corie, an ex-FBI agent turned suburbanite wife and stepmother, plays amateur detective to spice up her new posh but monotonous life. My first impression is that the plot feels like a cozy mystery, along the lines of "Murder She Wrote" or "Veronica Mars", and would be amusing and entertaining to curl up with. Although this glimpse didn't really pull me into the story I am sure that the plot picks up as Corie begins to uncover what she believes to be Pete Delaney's mysterious and secret life.
