Sync is a beautiful story about two twins who are both lost and found within the foster care system. Storm and Lake definitely weren't dealt an easy hand. Born into the orbit of a mother who couldn't (and wouldn't!) be the parent they needed, they enter the foster system and are ultimately separated by a foster system that isn't designed to care or understand. But maybe if they're lucky, theyll find each other and maybe some other people along the way who do care.
Sync's journal-like, poetic prose kept this story moving fast and keeps the reader engaged with the twins' experiences. I couldn't put this one down, despite contemporary novels not being my typical preference.
