I really enjoyed reading this book!! At first I was a little skeptical when I opened the book and it was written similarly to a play/ poem. However it wasn’t a play or poem but a novel and it was so good. It was a fast and easy read, I really enjoyed the back and forth between the brother and sister, telling their story of being hurt, neglected, homeless, etc. I had so many emotions during this book from sadness to happiness. I didn’t want to put it down, which I was able to read in a day!
This story is about twins that struggled through the foster care system one ending up in a juvenile center and another ending up being homeless. This story felt so real, how the foster care system work (sometimes jumping from home to home, without much love or care), how being separated from those you love can really impact you as an individual and what you can overcome!
