It's been a hot minute since I've read a Ellen Hopkins book. I remember reading Crank in high school along with most of her other heartbreaking stories. I stopped after a few years, falling out of love with the poetic writing style. It's great to see her stories going strong and reaching high schoolers of today. I have no doubt this story will be just as brilliant as her other gut wrenching books.
