I am not all that into books in verse (unless I can have Elizabeth Acevedo read it to me herself in the audio version) but Hopkins' poetry is extremely readable and I bet the teens at the library will love this--I am guessing they don't know that e.hopkins has been writing books since before they were born.

First impressions: I like the cover (a recognizable brand), think kids will like the fast-reading poems even if the book looks chunkier (400+ pages? no problem!), and e.hopkins excels at turning tough topics into fascinating stories that readers can relate to. The "unsent letters" in verse don't feel like letters, which helps. "Storm" and "Lake" would not be my choice for names, but it makes more sense when you get to know more about the twins' background (their mom).
