From the very first page, it is clear that this is going to be a hard-hitting emotional book--but Ellen Hopkins is one of the best at writing these stories with generosity and honesty. The novel in verse style really makes you speed through the story to find out more about these characters--Storm and Lake. I'm definitely interested in reading more to find out what their stories are, and hopefully how they will connect together.
