Ellen Hopkins is definitely infamous for a good hard-hitting story. I know she's been kind of writing more slowly in the 2020s so I'm excited to see what she's been working on! The subject matter seems a little more nuanced in this book compared to her older stories, but it still definitely has some tough topics involved. I'll be reading it!
