Although there are few words explaining the story each verse is incredibly powerful. It leaves a reader jumping into the mind of both Lake and Storm and see how their story plays out from both their points of views. I have always enjoyed stories written in verse, although I don't often pick up stories written this way, and would like to see how the story is guided through each new entry.
