This is a science fiction novel technically set in March of 2021 although the construct of time in the traditional sense has posed a problem, so in essence, there is no passage of calendar time. The writing style is very unique and every section seems to be written in a different, abstract way. Sentences are often disjointed, mirroring the oddness and illusion that fills this world.

It seems as if the main character's thoughts and ideas are muddled which is shown by the consistent use of backslashes throughout the entire excerpt. All of the characters appear to be at a distance from each other as if separated by an invisible, dividing barrier. From the reader's perspective looking in, it felt odd and at times a bit uncomfortable to see just how differently and coldly these characters acted towards each other. None of them appeared to have emotions, that seemed both concerning and fascinating simultaneously.
