The premise is real. As the world deals with a relief time pandemic, this book tells us about the "another model"...one where time stands still. Not a new concept but the attacks in this book are both real and imagined in the heads of the charcters - and the readers.
The is sci-fi at is best - you are never sure if you are reading about something that has happened, or will happen. You may also be worried that it is happening right now.
The characters sound and feel familiar until they don't. You may see yourself and your own family and friends in some of them. This books really gets you thnking about what you do and do not believe in. You may start questioning a lot of aspects in your day-to-day dealing with people, places and things.
Like I mention above, read it at least twice to get the full effect.
