I loved the concept of this book and was so excited to get my copy! The cover really pulled me in and the idea of time stopping but still going was super intriguing. The writing style threw me off quite a bit, but once I was able to process that the story went a little easier. The switch in the house was interesting, but the boxes were hard for me to visualize. Even now I'm not sure I processed the story properly and it took a few sittings to really dive in. I do enjoy her writing style, so I plan on listening to this as an audiobook in hopes that it will be easier to follow. The writing feels almost like it's supposed to be a poem, but isn't. I would definitely recommend this for someone that likes to really think while they read (which is how I thought of myself, but I'm not as sure anymore). The characters were interesting and I enjoyed all the food that was talked about. Hope to enjoy more as an audiobook.
