There probably are great reasons for time to stand still, but for the youth, times already moves too slowly. Having it been the same day for a year is making Trude want to finally do something about it, more than working on solutions in class. The solution might be as simple as flipping a switch and she might just be brave enough to flip it, not knowing what it will actually do. Some has to do something!
