The thing that grabbed my attention within the synopsis is the year seeming to be frozen in June 2020. I can really resonate with that as it feels that the last year or so has been stuck in time somewhat, with 'normality' grinding to a halt. Life essentially felt like it has been on hold, although in this book for differing reasons.
