A. S. King is a hit or miss author for me. I really enjoyed her debut novel The Dust of 100 Dogs, but haven’t had any of her books grab my attention in quite the same way since. That being said, this book is off to a very promising start. I’m not sure about the cover though — I might have skipped past it had I not recognized A. S. King’s name
