I didn’t expect to like this book as I did. The whole story is so beautiful and yet tragic. It reminded me a lot of La La Land which is one of my favorite movies. I liked how it seemed to flip back and forth between the different time periods seamlessly.
I loved all the characters in this book they all seemed very real like I could really be friends with them. Charlie has his endearing flaws and backstory. Helen with her kick ass artist attitude. Fran with perfect and yet not perfect perfectness. Lastly Alex with his style and made for greatness attitude. Everyone of these people I would love to know.
Overall I was very impressed with this book and I appreciated the Shakespeare woven through out the entire work.
