This book is about Charlie Lewis. It is split between his past and present. Retelling the story of the summer he met his first love Fran. He felt his life hadn’t been good, and so he spent his summer after school riding his bike around his town. When he meets Fran. And I’m order to see her again, he agrees to join the company. Doing a the play, Romeo and Juliet. You learn of everything that happens that summer, and learn how their relationship comes to be.
This story.. I had an incredibly hard time keeping interested in this. Some parts were incredible. And it kept me interested. But, a lot of if, I had to force myself to read. While the characters were well written, and you could picture them clearly, I think all the jumping around from past to present made it hard for my to keep up. I will say the last few chapters definitely kept my attention, and I couldn’t put it down. As I wanted to know what happened to the two.
