A Nice Little Read
As a former English teacher, all you have to do is mention a little Shakespeare to me, and I'm all in on a good work of fiction. Not to mention, my favorite being "Romeo and Juliet," and this blurb piqued my interest nearly immediately. As if all that wasn't captivating enough for me to want to get my hands on an ARC ASAP, I noticed that this book was dubbed as a "tragicomedy". What a great word.
This is a book that I think most adults can identify with on some level, which makes it pretty appealing to a wide audience. We've all experienced ups and downs where family life and friends are concerned, as well as that experience of first love.
Without giving too much of the book away, I think it's safe to say that this book is underappreciated and deserves more attention than it's getting.
