I was guilty of judging a book by its cover. At first look this is not a book that I would pick up. I thought the illustration looked juvenile and not something that would typically interest me.

Once I started the book I realized that the writing is good! I loved the nostalgic reminder of school dances and riding around on your bike in the summer. Charlie is a character that we all have probably related to at one point of growing up. I love how he is described as the average kid that doesn't really leave an impression good or back. He is likable and well developed.

I would like to continue this book because I am interested to hear how the relationship develops between him and Fran. I'm rooting for him to find love!
