The cover of this one isn’t one that would normally grab my attention. I’m sure it probably works for the story inside, and I can definitely even tell from the sneak peek how it will apply, but I can’t honestly say that it’s a cover that would pull me in. I think the book sort of reads the way the narration in the movie, The Sand Lot, is spoken. A man of a certain age is reflecting on his past. Thinking of who he was, what he’s done, and even first love. I think that the sneak peek is well written and it did give me that throwback nostalgic story vibe. That being said I don’t know that this is a story that I would one-click. I do think that Sweet Sorrow is a story that will appeal to a broad spectrum of people. I get that best seller type plot feel from it.
