I'm not sure if it's the writing style or the topic but this one didn't pull me in at all. The synopsis seems a bit overdone, the writing is dry, and it's apparently supposed to be "brilliantly funny" but I didn't get any of that out of the first impression. It has the type of cover that would make me pass over this book without consideration... poor color scheme, ugly font, weirdly drawn silhouettes, I'm not a fan.
