The writing in Sweet Sorrow is filled with life, and gave me a great first impression. I like that it begins while the protagonist is in grade school, so we will get to see them in their formative years, as well as when their life inevitably goes off track as an adult.
On another note, I find this cover to be truly hideous and it took me minutes of staring to realize that was a pool pictured. Someone really needs to mow if there is some sort of wild grass or wheat growing that high.
