The author of this book is very clearly an eloquent, poetic writer. Each description leaps off the page full of vibrancy and life. Every moment of teenager angst experienced by Charlie is so real, the reader can reach out and feel they're touching their own memories.

This First Look does not give a deep introduction to the story, which tells me this is a slow-burning read. Details will unfold slowly, methodically, before the culmination of the journey suddenly bursts forth like flowers after a Canadian winter. I look forward to reading the rest of the story.
