Seriously, who hasn't rage-eaten a chocolate cake, an entire batch of cookies, or a pan of extra-fudgy brownies straight from the oven? If I were 22, every girlfriend of mine would be getting this after a major breakup, or Christmas (whichever came first). As a mid-thirties woman, I love the humour and the recipes even though not as much as my younger self would. Even though I seem to be a little more sophisticated now, I still laughed and enjoyed flipping through the sample. The pictures are gorgeous and the annotated recipes (I loved the brownie crumb that is "your ex"); they add so much more to the cookbook. I suspect every time it's used, you'll find more quirks and little gems. The sentiment is spot on (why hate when you can bake?) so this would definitely be my go-to present for any "I'm divorced!" parties I may have in my future.
