I was really excited to win a copy of this book in the raffle. To be clear, it's a cookbook, not the newest young adult novel about baking and heartache.
I love the design and layout of this book (all the bright colors!), and the way it's bound for easy access to recipes while you're baking. I loved the selection of recipes that were unusual and not like things you find in every other cookbook, but also not totally out there. I am very excited to start baking! The recipes are not overly complicated and there are lots of instructions and helpful hints.
My only complaint was the the book focused a little too much on the whole "breakup" theme. I could have done with less of that. At 36, I'm not quite sure I'm the target market. However, I did love the smart and sassy tone and would love to see more from this author.
