I couldn't wait to open this book! My first thought was, "is this going to have like gummy worms coming out of a scary looking mudcake?"
Naw-this author is SO MUCH MORE creative than that! In fact, I really feel she took gifting bakery goodness to a whole new fun and adventurous level!
The author explains her point of view in her pages of "Revenge Is Best Served" and I have to admit..her words actually made me cry. She also makes a great point about what to do with the energy we sometimes vent as anger...why not do something more constructive with it, all in the name of SWEET love!
Although I don't consider myself a very great baker, I felt VERY inspired to try at least ONE of these recipes.
The recipe I chose to re-create...hehe....is called, Fruck Off. It's Fritos meets Reese's Pieces. Seemed like a crazy recipe to me, but this fab & fun recipe actually REALLY impressed my recent European dinner guests who stated, "This could be served in a restaurant!"
Seriously, over the spread of other decadent desserts I had offered that evening, THIS was the "go-to" sweet dish everyone seemed to go for! My friends were begging me for the recipe days after but....I think they'd much prefer this whole book instead!
Sweet Revenge is definitely a winner!
