Maybe it's just that I haven't eaten lunch (spoiler; it's not that) but this first look made me sooooooo hungry. I really am not a huge cookbook person because I find a lot of them to contain complicated recipes that scare me out of attempting them, but this is one I would buy. I love the look of it, it is very casual and inviting, like your best friend threw together a scrapbook of recipes for you. I also love how it is sprinkled (pun intended) with educational bits so instead of going in blind, you actually learn about cooking and why you have to do certain things to make it work. And the recipes themselves look amazing but are also fairly simple in their ingredients and execution. This is definitely a cookbook that would serve me well.
