I was looking forward to this read based on the cover and the “first look” and sadly it was not for me. I was into it in the beginning though I felt it was quite far fetched but that is what sci fi is I guess.
When the children ended up taking over is where I realized this was not a book for me. I found it unbelievable and possibly that is due to the arrogance of some of the characters or just the fact that I couldn’t wrap my head around it. I agree with other reviews that there was definitely an influence on how some of the different races as well as sexes we’re portrayed that troubled me. Maybe this is more geared to a young adult reader )though I will add that I do like young adult and some sci fi
