A star dies and releases a wave of radiation that kills everyone over the age of 13. This books goes through some very messed up stuff when the world is left in the hands of children. The beggining is heart wrenching because the adults are all trying to teach the children how to manage the world without them.
It was a full 5 stars until about 3/4 to the end then it was all pretty dumb. Its does have some news articles and interviews from the future which were pretty cool. It definitely was scary and sent chills down my spine just imagining leaving my children to this world. I am slightly shocked how the USA is depicted in this book as a gun obsessed, everyone always has one at all times country.
